What We Collect
- Profile information — name, family details, neighborhood, and interests you share during onboarding and conversations
- Location — your city and neighborhood to personalize local recommendations
- Preferences — food tastes, activity interests, and other preferences you share or that Clara learns from your feedback
- Conversation history — messages you send to Clara and Clara’s responses
- Feedback — likes, dislikes, and other interactions with feed cards
How We Use Your Data
Your data is used exclusively to personalize Clara’s recommendations and actions for you. We never sell your personal data.
- Generate your daily briefing with locally relevant recommendations
- Remember your preferences to improve future suggestions
- Execute tasks you request (booking, research, follow-ups)
- Improve Clara’s service quality over time
Third-Party Services
Clara uses the following third-party services to function:
- Anthropic — AI language models that power Clara’s conversations and reasoning
- Google Maps & Places — location data and local business information
- WeatherAPI — local weather data for your area
- Search APIs — web search for researching local events, businesses, and news
These services receive only the minimum data necessary to fulfill your requests. We do not share your full profile with any third party.
AI-Generated Responses: Your input — including messages, questions, and other content you provide — may be sent to a third-party AI service (such as Anthropic) to generate responses. Please avoid sharing sensitive personal information in your conversations.
Data Storage & Security
- Data is encrypted at rest and in transit
- Hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the United States
- Access is restricted to authorized personnel only
Data Retention & Deletion
Your data is retained for as long as you use Clara. You can request deletion of all your data at any time by emailing hello@yourclara.ai. We will delete your data within 30 days of your request.
Your California Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect and how it is used
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Opt out of the sale of your personal information (we do not sell your data)
- Not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights
Children’s Privacy
Clara is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at hello@yourclara.ai.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page and are effective immediately upon posting.
